Song of the Phoenix: Luminosity
Silence, they say,
is golden
(because it burns -
not
inferno
holocaust
pyre, yet
a flame
of desire:
a candle
lit
in faith, or
an ember,
ash-hidden.
Take wing;
uncage
the hot
sparks
of the soul -
firebird
or silence:
it
burns).

wisdom recognizes that silence and listening
can be more vital than speaking.
yet practice reveals two types of listeners …
those who listen soas to gain understanding, and
those who listen soas to know when it is their turn to talk.

so, to embrace silence
as you do here is

This is quite extraordinary Lisa. The twist on silence being golden has quite taken my breath away. Excellent!
